What do Spirituality and Capitalism have in common?

Posted by

Spirituality and capitalism are completely different institutions, but I believe that the two have something in common. Philosophically, they say something similar.

Spirituality says trust the laws of the universe and hence let go.

Capitalism says trust the laws of the market – demand and supply for the economy will “take care of itself”. “Let it be, it is self regulatory. Don’t worry about equality, it will happen on its own as you allow businesses to flourish. Innovation, growth, change will happen on its own through market forces.” The government doesn’t have to coerce its rules and laws for it. People know what needs to be done, what they have to do and the government doesn’t have to interfere in their lives for those decisions.”
