Often we get distracted from our goals and ambitions, but we don’t always get mad at ourselves for it. This is because we’re not perfect, and we’re not meant to achieve all our goals within the same time frame anyway. However, I wonder what kind of distractions actually make us regret our decisions.
I believe that if we get distracted from our goals due to activities like watching T.V, hanging out with friends, boyfriends etc, it doesn’t feel that bad.
But, if we do get distracted due to something that in turn harms us later, like friends who are actually bad influences, partners who didn’t actually care about us etc, we feel much worse and the sense of loss is much greater. It depends on if the things we’re being distracted with turn their backs on us in times of need or not.
