Buddhism on Capitalism

Dalai Lama once said that communism is the only economic system that thinks about equality which was seen as him supporting it.

However, the school of thought of Buddhism that I practice- Nichiren Buddhism, is pro capitalism.

It has a high emphasis on creativity which has a direct link to innovation and entrepreneurship. It says that through empathy and creativity mixed, you can solve people’s problems.

It talks about turning losses into profits and gains. It is pro materialism and wealth, but mentions that you should connect your financial goals to the greater good or Kosen Rufu.
